New Handphone 2008

Velocity 111
Features: Velocity Mobile's other new phone, the Velocity 111, takes on BlackBerry with its full keyboard. The device also has a touch screen, a 2.0-megapixel camera, and GPS.

Motorola ROKR E8
Features: Motorola's upgraded Rokr is a phone for music lovers. The device, which is also designed to serve as a digital music player, features virtual keys with backlit labels that change based on the function in use. The buttons use "haptic" technology, which creates a tactile response when pressed.

Velocity 103
Features: Velocity Mobile, a new smart phone developer, made its debut at the CTIA conference with two new products. Both devices seek to woo the business market with videoconferencing cameras.The Velocity 103 features a touch screen and offers standard high-end features, such as a 2.0-megapixel camera and Windows Mobile software.

Verizon XV6900
Features: Verizon designed the XV6900 for business customers looking for the full cadre of office tools. Users can not only browse the Internet and take photos — they can edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on the device's 2.8-inch touch screen.

Nokia N96
Features: Nokia has also joined the touch-screen horse race with its N96. YouTube enthusiasts will enjoy its 2.8-inch-wide screen. The device's 5.0-megapixel camera has automatic focus and flash. The phone's face slides to reveal separate buttons for video and phone use.Available: May

LG - VU
Features: LG makes the most of the Vu's 3-inch touch screen by offering AT&T's splashy mobile TV and a full Web browser. Users will also be able to stream digital radio from XM Satellite Radio directly to their phones.

Samsung Instinct
Features: Samsung's challenge to the iPhone caused perhaps the most buzz at the CTIA conference.The Instinct phone offers GPS, a full Internet browser, and the ability to watch live TV on its 3-inch touch screen.
